You can find the latest Suffolk Libraries Safeguarding and Vulnerable Adults policy here.
Community group trustees should familiarise themselves with the Suffolk Libraries Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults Policy and ensure that they are adhering to it. There maybe situations where a group needs to demonstrate that they have such a policy in place – for example, it maybe a condition of some funding applications. The trustees of the group can legitimately say that they are a member group of Suffolk Libraries and have ‘adopted’ the Suffolk Libraries policy on this. They should formalise this by voting on it at a trustees meeting and noting it in the minutes.
